"The Social Cycle" is a collection of three works that act as a commentary on the nature of herd mentality and how human society functions. The collection showcases vibrant and colorful abstract artwork with symbolic figures that feature stylized humanoid figures combined with eye, lip, and ear motifs; creating a visually striking and expressive collection.
Truth (the Eye) and Falsehood (the Lips) are the celestial twins that govern society and see the world at the macrosocial level. Truth holds in it beauty, justice, honesty, innocence, purity, compassion, and that which can only be known by seeing; while Falsehood have in them deception, subjectivity, that which is tainted, fear, manipulation, guile, hypocrisy, selfishness, and care only to be heard and obeyed. The People (the Ears) make up general society and only comprehend the world at the microsocial level; only knowing what they hear and directly experience.
Piece 1 - "The Two Pontiffs" is a visually stunning project that captures the essence of two leaders standing on the cliffs, preaching under their banners of Truth and Falsehood. This painting utilises the powerful imagery of two opposing forces delivering their messages to the masses from a dramatic and natural backdrop; in order to explore the juxtaposition of faith and deception when society is presented with confronting situations and opposing ideologies.
Piece 2 - “Modern Era” delves into the theme of Falsehood and its impact on the modern world. Through thought-provoking visuals and captivating storytelling; Worm explores the way truth is swallowed by falsehood, poisoning the world with it's venomous tongue. Join Worm on this journey as we uncover the effects of misinformation and deception on society.
Piece 3 - “Enlightenment” delves into the age-old concept that "Truth eventually escapes from the jaws of Falsehood." This piece depicts the journey of truth as it strives to reveal itself to the world, even after the people have endured the pain of truth being hidden by falsehood. Through this piece, Worm explores the universal theme of truth overcoming falsehood; as well as the resilience and nature of genuine knowledge.
